Training Opportunities

Auburn University, in conjunction with LEARN, Inc. and The Animal Agriculture Alliance will be hosting a training event entitled, "Managing Escalating Threats to Food and Agriculture", October 17-19, 2005 at the Auburn Campus, Auburn, Alabama. Researchers, stakeholders in food and agribusiness and public service personnel are cordially invited to attend this important training event.  Food and Agriculture continue to gain attention by the government because of escalating threats from both domestic and foreign groups.  For more information click here for a PDF of the flyer.

APHIS Solicits Input on Soybean Rust Risks The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service released on February 23, 2004, a report: “Status of Scientific Evidence on Risks Associated with the Introduction into the Continental United States of Phakopsora pachyrhizi With Imported Soybean Grain, Seed and Meal.” APHIS officials are accepting public comments on the information contained within the document, as well as data gaps. This document may serve to inform the completion of a risk assessment. You can view the document at:
