Soybean Rust Identification Short Course Registration
Date: July 11-13, 2007
Focus: This Short Course has been designed with the agricultural specialist or consultant in mind; the intended audience includes soybean professionals from across the country. As such, we will concentrate on hands-on identification of the disease on the plant. We will also talk about scouting techniques and demonstrate methods we use to maximize our chances of finding the signs of this pathogen in the field. There will be a section concerning field trials at the research station as well.
Registration: FREE. Course participants will be provided with a 30X hand lens, disposable gloves, pants and boot covers, sanitizing stations, relevant publications and training packet, and meals during the course. Dinner will be provided the evening preceding the course and the next night, and lunches will be provided both days of the course.

*We request an emergency phone number in case of last-minute delays or problems due to hurricanes, etc. Our 2005 course took place immediately following the departure of Hurricane Dennis from the Florida panhandle. Although we do not foresee this happening again this year, we prefer to be prepared.
